On November 4th 2014, Larry Sullivan attended the Serious Fun Children’s Network Gala. The evening raises money for Over the Wall (a UK charity that is part of the Serious Fun network), and Larry donated £13,600 to fund their work. Van Morrison performed, and the event was attended by a host of stars and special guests, including Harrison Ford and Mel B.

Serious Fun was set up by the American actor Paul Newman and provides free, recreational camps for seriously ill children. They create opportunities for children and their families to reach beyond their illnesses and discover a new world of possibilities. Serious Fun started with just one camp, but they now serve over 75,000 children a year. Through fun activities, they aim to develop self-esteem, enhance resilience and foster independence. Serious Fun believes that “every kid deserves the chance to simply be a kid”, and we are delighted to support them in that goal.

Over the Wall has camps in Dorset, The Midlands and Scotland. You can find out more about their valuable work here: http://www.otw.org.uk/
