Many of our supporters will already be familiar with our existing social enterprise, the Cookie Bar. It’s been open in Surrey for just over three years, and now it’s part of a big plan to go mobile… We are in the process of trying to convert a London Routemaster into a pop-up Cookie Bar so that we can take the Cookie Bar on the road, attending festivals and events around the country.
A few weeks ago we launched a crowdfunder campaign to raise £15,000 to transform the bus into a fully functioning kitchen downstairs with space for tables and seating on the upper deck. We want to involve loads of different people and allow you to become part of this exciting project so we created rewards for all pledges received from £2 to £2,000 with the first 100 backers even being entered into a prize draw!

I’m buzzing that so many people have got behind the project!

There has been some incredible generosity so far, so a massive thank you from all the team to everyone who has pledged, shared or blackmailed partners, siblings and colleagues into supporting the bus! Yesterday was an unbelievably successful day where we DOUBLED our running total and soared over the 50% marker!!!
However, we are not safe yet as we are now entering the final week (eek) and although we have already raised a huge amount, we don’t get ANY of it unless we hit our £15,000 target so PLEASE keep up the good work and keep sharing our crowdfunder page! There are still some fab rewards up for grabs including tickets to our launch event, a hamper full of exclusive Cookie Bar products and, for those karaoke and music fans amongst us, a day in a professional recording studio!
Whilst this has been going on we’ve also been spreading the word and we already have some fantastic festivals & events enquiring about the bus but we can’t do it without your help. Can you pledge? Can you share? Can you tell just one other person about this campaign? Please do!
So once again THANK YOU and keep sharing – we are so nearly there – it’s been such an exciting time for me, the Cookie Bar and COINS Foundation.
