This morning, COINS Foundation donated £5,000 to Challengers as part of the Big Give Christmas Challenge, which was then doubled to £10,000.

Challengers have been selected to take part the Big Give Christmas Challenge, meaning they have the opportunity for donations that are made on the 4th, 5th and 6th of December to be doubled, giving them best opportunity to hit their target of £20,000. The number of disabled children Challengers support is increasing, and the types of impairments that children have are becoming more complex and require more experienced staff to help them enjoy leisure activities. If Challengers are successful the money raised will goes towards the recruitment of a new Training Officer.

Speaking to Laura Sercombe, Challengers’ CEO, she said: ‘The Training Officer post would immediately double the capacity to implement our internal programme of training for staff and maintain our high standards. This post will also help to acquire knowledge and understanding of our schemes and of the experiences of disabled young people so that we can later develop our training programme according to the demands of Challengers’

To support this exciting campaign you need to go HERE at 10am on the 5th and 6th of December.
